“Cutting Edge” is the name of the Business Card Design, but I would call it “Cutting Corners” :D. Am I funny or what?

I definitely hate the design of this business card, but it gets noticed and remembered, which are two important things that business cards and any other marketing tools should do.

Here is a very interesting concept, the M++CARD is a Business card which includes memory storage on the rear side of the card. The back of the card is laminated so as to hold a memory card (like Sony M2 Card). Two slits on the card make it possible to snap on a USB adopter, through which this card can be accessed. As per your needs, related data can be stored on this card. Thus, M++CARD can become truly business card, company info card, website card, product info card, portfolio card and so on.

This is also a great way to grab attention and also make sure your business card doesn’t get thrown away, at least it will be used in someones household:) and as the saying goes: “Hang around long enough and you’ll get noticed”. It doesn’t fit into a business card holder so it’s already differentiating from other business cards and what’s best is that it won’t get torn.

Jamie Wieck designed this unique business card that stands out from others by having a positive effect on the environment. It won’t solve all the environmental problems, but it’s a small step.
Just add water and see what happens. Greenhouse in a business card.
All you need is water and a little bit of time.

Instructions on the back of the card tell you to put the card in the water and wait 4 days.

Hotel key cards can be used also as Business Cards. Like the below one for example. I’m not sure if it was meant as a business card, but it sure would be useful as one.
I think a hotel client would happily keep the 2 in 1 business card/key that otherwise would be thrown away… just in case. He wouldn’t probably take a business card if it was on the reception desk, but when he already has the key, why not just keep it?
And next time some friend was asking him what hotel he would recommend, he would be handled a business card/room key, which would also a nice conversation topic and would imprint the hotel brand in their memories for a longer time.
So here’s the example, which has actually a really neat design also:

This one looks like a picture frame.
It could be used like some kind of viral marketing promotion. Give out a bunch of these cards and tell people to take photos of it with something cool in the picture frame. Then they could post it on the website of the company and the coolest photo would win a prize, a free something (whatever services or products the company offers).

Found here.
And here’s how the card was made.
