If you don’t know what Twitter is, it’s a microblogging platform where people blog about things they normally wouldn’t bother to blog about. For example “I like pancackes” or “I’m going for a walk in the park.”
So how funny do you find this idea for a business card? “Giving out my business card”
Twitter users will love it. I do.

Great personal business cards. Including a photo is a great way to connect with the card recipient. I also like the colors and the creative photos. Good job.

Plastic business cards are pretty effective because not every day you’re being handed one.

“WooHoo!
My Tactix Business Cards!
3.5 x 2 thick plastic with a notch. Sticker is printed with a dull varnish on everything except the word “tactix” which has gloss varnish and is also embossed.
You can tell the embossed “Tactix” is a bit off.. they are getting re-printed! yippie!”

The problem is, they have become so commonplace that they have lost some of their effectiveness. Many people just put them away in their portfolios and forget about them.
But that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t use business cards. In fact, you should take the opportunity to use them to your advantage. If you think differently than your competitors, you can gain the advantage. That means you should make a business card that is unique, and makes an impression on the customer. Continue reading →
