In case you want some ideas to get attention with your custom business cards, here are 5 pretty crazy ones.
I like small gadgets… that is one of few things I’m not original at, because everybody loves gadgets, the smaller the cooler. And what would be better than making a gadget out of your own business card (or receiving one).
Gadgets are a cool way to relate a business card to the business and with the help of a great slogan some gadgets can be used with unrelated services too.

1. Add a button compass.
Including a map to your business on the back of the card enhances the joke and the usability.
What if your client happens to get lost in the woods and all he has with him is a map and your business card? We’ll. When he finds civilization, the first thing he will do is call you and order the most expensive product you have:)
Perfect for slogans:
We’re hard to find, but it’s worth the time. (with the map)
You’re lost without us. (pretty universal suits all kinds of businesses, especially consulting)
We’ll direct you. (good for consulting firms)
2. Add a small clock.
Electronic or mechanic doesn’t matter(unless it does). Precision and reliability are the keywords here.
Perfect for slogans:
We’re always on time. (perfect for a delivery service; maybe a stopper instead?)
Do you know what time it is? It’s *product* time.
3. A thermometer.
I’m not totally sure how it could be placed on a business card, but I doubt it’s too hard to think of. It suits mostly with medical centers or hospitals, but can be used in a few other occasions as well.
Perfect for slogans:
If it’s 36.6′ C, we’ve done a great job!
You won’t need to fake an illness again, you’ll love working for us.
Wish you had a fever? Find a new job. We’ll help you.
4. A magnifying glass.
Perfect for detective agencies and inspection services, but not only. With a slogan “We pay attention to details” this business card can be used with a business that provides for example hotel services or actually any customer services.
Perfect for slogans:

We pay attention to details.
Are those clues? (detective agency)
Is this dirt on your stove? (health inspection)
5. A lighter.
A thin business card sized lighter is a perfect business card as it will never get crumpled or torn and it has a real practical use. Plus other people will see it too when they ask for a light or stand beside the person who lights his cigarette.
Although I don’t like the idea of helping to promote cancer sticks, this custom business card is perfect for tobacco companies. But it could be used just as effectively by other firms as a great business card gadget. It is simple, useful and cool.
Perfect for slogans:
18 and not yet a smoker? What are you waiting for?!(Remember, kids and grownups, smoking is bad)
6. A fridge magnet
Tara had a great idea. Magnetic business cards would be handy as fridge magnets. And not only they would be kept, because of usefulness, the contact would see them every time when being in the kitchen, which is way better than being forgotten in the business card holder.
We’re attracted to metal. (some firm dealing with car parts for example)
